A work day picturelogue~

Ready for work, mug of coffee for the road, a last glance at my pretty flowers by the kitchen window--off to work.

The Justice Building--old but stately.

Out the back door--Supreme Court building is behind us.

Out and about the capitol grounds on morning break.

This lady is a fixture at the capitol--hand feeds the squirrels nearly every day.

This little ornamental tree and fir tree live right next to each other--their branches intertwine so that squirrels can romp freely from one tree to the other. They're like a ballerina dancer and lumber jack holding hands. Very sweet!

Let's go for a walk around the capitol mall--it's like a cherry orchard.

Over to the west side of the capitol.

This beaver family is great--they have a little bird-bath-like pool in front of them and you can feed your own sticks to this little guy.

The walk of flags features all 50 states' flags. The Waite fountain makes a wonderful sound--so refreshing.

The camelias have put on a good show, but they are about done for the season.

Lunchtime sights.

The coffee vendor is a sentimental fixture to me--he's been there since the day I started, out there in all kinds of weather. Today he must be loving his job.

These pinwheels are part of Child Abuse Prevention awareness. They represent all the reported cases of child abuse in Marion County in 2006--tooooo many : (

A touch of Easter here.
