The Siding's Coming Along

Lookin' Good!
I believe this wall is completely sided--we're loving the cedar shingles in the gables and the hand-crafted eave brackets.
The siding crew is doing a great job. Love their work music--Mexican polkas!!
Now PGE will be able to bill us!

Plumbing, heating/air conditioning and electrical systems are going in.

The outer shell is coming together.

Doors have arrived and are gradually going in.
A closeup of one of the brackets. Mike won't claim any credit if I don't get that awful caulking job tidied up!

It's looking like an official house now, with the siding and trim going on.

Cleaned up, assembled brackets today.

Assembled the brackets today--16 big ones and 6 littler ones. Need to caulk the joined edges and give them a final touch up with paint. Then they're ready to be put up when the siding goes on this week.

Cleaned up today--mostly roofing leftovers to dispose of. Unsettled some mice who had moved in to the pile--tested the ol' ticker, when they surprised me! Ticker's good : )

Here's a pic for comparison.

Garage floor, Exterior trim color.

The Garage floor has been poured.
Got our exterior colors picked out. The trim, shown on these bracket parts, is called "Spring's Eve." The field color's name is "Song of Nature." It's a pale gray green (isn't that a surprise? : )
